The Limassol Scouts’ Philharmonic in Syros Organized by: Educational & Artistic Association “O Finikas Syrou”

The Limassol Scouts’ Philharmonic was originally established in the 1960s under the direction of Greek conductor Britsouli. The current conductor is Iosif Kartapanis. The Philharmonic is made up of cub scouts, scouts, rover scouts, scout leaders, and even parents. Great emphasis has been placed on the musical training of its members through seminars, educational trips, camps, and, of course, instrument learning and maintenance.
Their visit to Syros is part of the celebration of the Philharmonic’s 20th anniversary and serves as recognition of the children’s dedication and achievements.
