“Polyphonies Vol.1 – Eccentrics”Music Group of Syros

The performance Polyphonies Vol.1 – Eccentrics is a musical concert-research by the Mixed Choir of the Music Group of Syros (M.O.S.) and the female vocal ensemble Lalune. It explores choral music and how monophonic music transforms under the prism of polyphony.

Our research led to a unique selection of songs from different eras and musical genres. The performance will feature works from the international Rock, Punk, and Folk scenes, as well as Greek traditional and contemporary art music. Examples include pieces by Pink Floyd, The Clash, M. Hadjidakis, G. Aggelakas, Winter Swimmers (Heimerinoi Kolymvites), and others.

We aim to make this concert an official event dedicated to polyphonic music.
